Day 1 is all about TERMINOLOGY AS A SCIENCE: Are you interested in terminology theory and scientific research at the University of the Aegean and four other Greek Universities?
Do you want to meet renowned trainers from academia and industry, and network with our global terminology family during a joint dinner and social event?
Then Day 1 is your pick.
Day 2 is dedicated to TERMINOLOGY AND TECHNOLOGY: Do you want to learn about professional terminology management tools? Are you keen on discussing terminology and Artificial Intelligence applications?
Then Day 2 is ideal for you.
Day 3 will focus on TERMINOLOGY MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY: Do you want to learn and share how to search and collect high-quality terminology, and how to control the quality of terminological data?
Then Day 3 is for you.
Do you want to get an overview on terminology standards at international (ISO) level? Are you interested in current and future trends and developments in terminology and standardization?
Then Day 4 is your day
Your colleagues and peers from all over the world will present their own terminology projects. This is the oral exam to qualify as ECQA Certified Terminology Manager. Reserve your slot, if you want to go for the ECQA certificate and get your international terminology driving licence.
This was TSS 2025 - online and in Timisoara (Romania)
Day 1 was about TERMINOLOGY AS A SCIENCE: We discussed terminology theory and scientific research at Universities in Romania, met renowned trainers from academia and industry, and enjoyed networking with our global terminology family during a joint dinner and social event.
Day 2 was dedicated to TERMINOLOGY, TRANSLATION AND TECHNOLOGY: We improved your knowledge about terminology databases, such as IATE, and learned about professional terminology management tools. And we enjoyed discussing the role of terminology in Artificial Intelligence applications.
Day 3 focused on TERMINOLOGY MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY: We discussed how to search and collect terminology, and how to control the quality of terminological data. And we argued the importance of terminology, and learned about the projects of Terminology without Borders.
On day 4, we got an overview on terminology standards at international (ISO) level. We talked about copyright and terminology, about micro-content, metadata, and digital twins.
Your colleagues and peers from all over the world presented their own terminology projects. This was the oral exam to qualify as ECQA Certified Terminology Manager.
